By Kyle Bayer(Owner), May. 11, 2012 My wife and I just purchased the Yamaha YFZ 450 a week ago. We are still going through the break in period, but are already impressed with the power and speed this quad has. It handles wonderfully and its light weight makes it hard to not race it. This is our first recreational purchase and we do no... t regret it at all. Yamaha also had terrific financing which made it possible for a young couple like us to afford it. Great job Yamaha, we are very happy with our YFZ 450! Read Full Review By Ryan Ackinclose(Owner), Jan. 26, 2013 I am absolutely astonished with this quad. I have it in white, I got my graphics kit, It has amazing power, It comes up in the first two gears. It is also really snappy. I plan on racing this quad. I definitely recommend this quad to anyone. It is the best ATV I have ever owned. Read Full Review By Don schelling(Owner), Jan. 1, 2018 I bought a 2012 yfz450 in 2013 at the end of product run, i modded it out much but not internally. I added a k&n air filter and filter cover both, then i put on a power core 4 fmf mufler that really opened it up! I also installed a dial a jet system with the rejet of the carb that really makes ... it go in all conditions. I also added alum nerfs, grab, bumber, plates and a after market axle 2 inches wider setup. I changed to 22 inch tires after changing the front and rear sprockets 13 f and 38 rear, that changed gearing for the sand and works well for ground clearance. I also changed the steering stem, bars and added a anti vibe system, went with raptor bars for height! I also added a roll design shifter that made shifting better. This is great bike and it holds up well, i had some concerns when i bought it and i have added much more to it over the years like the bomb header to match the muffler but i can tell you its great! As for shocks i replaced them all with 08 used and rebuilt yfz shocks so its just like prior year models, did make it softer for the dunes and i run 20 inch paddles there. My main complaints were the steering hight bars too low 2 inches, shifter too low to shift easy, motor plugged breathing for power in the dunes, gearing too fast to lug 2 gear easy, no reverse still an issue. The shocks were good but the rebuilt used units are better with full adj and reservoirs. After 12,500 dollars invested my dream machines fast, durable, can thrown around like a rag doll and does not tire you out easy or overheat at all despite the mods, WOW. By Trevor Cummings (Owner), May. 6, 2015 Man I have to say I just got a 2012 yfz 450r put a Moto works pipe on it and jets. The bike is perfect for trails pits even some mud. And even racing in smoking 350 twins kfx 700 raptor 660 and raptor 700 if your reading this just stop and bye one you wont regret it that's my word👌 Read Full Review User Reviews
